I hand fabricated this necklace, and it is one of my personal favorites. A little shorter than most, I sourced these AAA quality moonstone beads myself, and did not want to dilute them with any other gemstones. It is about 15 inches long and sits perfectly about the neck. It\'s a very versatile piece. What makes these moonstones so great? Their size is about 12-14 mm but does vary as they are rough nuggets. Moonstone is an orthoclase, and the mysterious blue glow is from a mineral called albite. Said to be made of captured moonbeams this necklace and easy opening clasp is the perfect gift for a June baby, as moonstone is the alternative birthstone to pearl. Moonstone represents femininity, protection and intuition.
