Holiday Splendor Collection. Hand-painted Glass Ornaments Imagined for decades and finally becoming a reality in 2006! This collection has been inspired by lacquered boxes from world-famous village Fedoskino, where for almost 200 years, artists have been painting beautiful miniature lacquered papier-mƒ?øch« boxes inlayed with mother of pearl. After years of studying this technique, we established an innovative form of painting that were proud to bring to you on our exclusive G. DeBrekht Glass ornaments. Ornaments are created on handblown1.5 mm thin glass, like in the old times. We spray silver powder inside the glass ball and then sandblast this ball from the outside. We paint our miniatures with combination of transparent& opaque paint with multi-layer painting technique for realistic, deep iridescent effect of the sun or moon lighting the landscape or beautiful scenery on our ornaments. All sides of the ornament are beautifully decorated, accented with touches of gold, finished with a lovely satin ribbon, then placed in a luxurious satin-lined box.
