DESCRIPTION
The Umbra-Matic 36 is a European precision shooter-style frame, produced during a period when eyewear design prioritized optical performance, balance, and durability over branding or fashion trends.
This is not an outdoorsman or aviator model.
Its large oval lenses, clean sight geometry, articulated metal temples, and restrained industrial design align with technical optical eyewear of the late 1960s–early 1970s.
This example is fitted with original Zeiss mineral glass photochromic lenses, a premium optical feature of the era designed to adapt to changing light conditions while maintaining clarity and stability.
Offered here in deadstock, unworn condition, with all original components intact.
