Nomadic tribes use hand scissors to shear only the downy hair that naturally falls out of the few baby goats that are born in late autumn and survive the harsh cold, so production efficiency is extremely poor and only 40g can be harvested from each goat. The fibers are 13 to 14 microns thinner than regular cashmere, and are characterized by a transparent whiteness without any black hair.
