Among our most opulent offerings, our Urban Fresco rugs are hand-knotted in India using a Persian knotting style. These rugs demand around 3000 man-hours to craft, from yarn dying to final completion. Meticulously constructed from a combination of wool and silk, the unique vintage appearance is achieved through an oxidation process, which results in the wool having a lower pile than the silk threads. This distinctive effect contributes to a well-worn and vintage motif. Originally part of our Urban Fresco Collection, remaining pieces of Foundry Zinc are now available through our Archive Sale. This sophisticated, oxidized wool and silk design in a moody palette is hand knotted in India.
